Our goal in this practice is to provide the highest quality and most up-to-date orthodontic care for our patients. To achieve this goal, our office is staffed with long term, highly trained personnel, with a level of skill and experience that enables them to assist Dr. Crain with much of the prescribed treatment.  In addition, we devote a significant amount of time for continuing education. It is our hope that you will develop complete confidence in our staff and allow us to fully serve you.

Please take a few moments to review this information because it may answer many of your questions about our office. We feel that the more you know about us, the better we can serve you.

Your first visit is a comprehensive clinical examination to determine the nature of your orthodontic need, and to discuss the proper time to begin treatment. If your schedule permits, x-rays and other diagnostic aids may be made to complete our evaluation. Please let us know if you are anxious to begin treatment.

OFFICE SCHEDULE

Our schedule is designed for your benefit. It is designed so that the most number of patients miss the least amount of school and/or work. We have two natural rush hour times... early morning and late afternoon. During these times we see short, check-up type appointments. Long appointments are scheduled in midday. The office is open Monday through Friday and is closed on weekends and major holidays. It is also closed whenever the Doctor and staff are attending continuing education courses.

EMERGENCY CARE

We reserve specific times every day for emergencies. If you have a problem requiring emergency treatment, please call as early in the day as possible.

CONVENIENT PAYMENT PLANS/INSURANCE

There are many ways to pay for orthodontic treatment. We offer convenient monthly payments and we will do our best to help you budget the cost of treatment. There is no finance charge for monthly payments during active treatment. For patients with insurance, our office will provide the necessary forms to assist you in collecting your benefits. No Down payment options are available for those who qualify.

APPOINTMENTS

In our office, treatment appointments are usually scheduled 4 to 8 weeks in advance. Therefore, we request that you make your next appointment prior to leaving the office. This will enable you to have a time more convenient to your schedule.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Orthodontics: is the straightening and alignment of the teeth for children and adults.

Facial orthopedics: is the improvement of facial growth and development by the use of appliances which can only occur during active growth. After growth is complete, orthodontics in combination with jaw surgery can correct facial form. Dr. Crain and his staff are highly experienced in all three phases of care.

DENTAL CHECK-UPS

We recommend that you continue to see your dentist every 6 months for check-ups and cleanings. You should have your teeth cleaned and all cavities filled before your orthodontic treatment begins.
Adults in braces usually require more frequent cleanings.

CANCELLATION OF APPOINTMENTS

If you cannot keep an appointment, please notify this office immediately. If possible, please give us 24 hours notice. Your courtesy will make it possible to give the appointment to another patient who may need our care.
